Removals Foreman / Supervisor

Are you an experienced Removals Porter or Foreman, with a “can do” attitude who is ready to take on an exciting new career opportunity? We are looking for an experienced, committed person to join or friendly team, helping to lead and support our incredible removal crews.


  • Completing and over-seeing all aspects of a removal job, including those involving more specialist items
  • Predominantly overseeing larger and more complex domestic removals but on occasions also directing Business, Commercial and International moves
  • Being responsible for driving, loading, and maintaining Company vehicles
  • Being able to risk assess dynamically, recognising potential issues in advance and providing appropriate solutions
  • Effectively leading, mentoring and directing a removal crew with varying levels of skills and experience during each job
  • Maintaining excellent customer service
  • Having a positive approach to personal development


  • A highly competitive basic salary of £32,760 per annum
  • Guaranteed 45 hours per week (to include hours for mentoring staff)
  • An earning potential of £36,400 per annum (based on average over-time hours)

  • Our average working week is Monday to Friday
  • Start times are job dependent but usually around 7am
  • Due to the nature of the work, weekly hours and finish times are not set so you will need to have a flexible approach to this
  • At times, you may be required to stay away from home overnight. Accommodation will be provided, and you will receive a £30 per night tax-free enhancement
  • We offer occasional over-time, paid at a rate of £21 per hour on Saturdays and after 7pm, Monday to Friday


You will have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working as a Removals Porter or Foreman
  • Extensive experience of both standard and complex domestic removals as well as handling specialist items
  • Some experience of Business, Commercial and International removals
  • A level of physical fitness and health that meets the physical demands of the role
  • Extensive driving experience and a maximum of 3 penalty points
  • Strong team working skills
  • Excellent leadership and delegation skills
  • Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills
  • An ability to keep calm under pressure
  • First-rate verbal and written communication skills
  • A dedication to providing outstanding Customer service
  • Mentoring skills and a strong commitment to the personal development of yourself and others
